Slaves of Love

Slaves of Love is three monologues for two actors and a violin. Tree short stories by Knut Hamsun became theatre in Old Frogner Prison in Oslo. We meet the man with a particular relationship to a fly. We meet the woman who loves the admirer of the yellow lady. We meet the gentleman who experiences appalling things behind the closed doors of the young widow. The subject is the mysterious ways of love and passion. Hamsun draws his characters with linguistic precision. We encounter them in their longing and vulnerability: as slaves of love. The show played for full houses and got very good reviews. Old Frogner Prison was from 1895 to 1962 used as a prison for Frogner Police station and is today a private home.
